<aside> ❗ The After Effects API does not allow you to update the system selection of a text layer in real time. Once you have changed the text size, tracking, leading or spacing, it will be difficult for you to edit the text because the system text selection does not match the new size you have set.

The function will immediately check all the text layers in the composition for inconsistencies with the text selection and correct where necessary.
